The curious case of seaborne flotsam, and some things I found recently on the beach for your consideration.

Nearly every time I go to the ocean this time of year, I find bits of seaglass, sand dollars and interesting items washed up that make me think about the ways plants, animals, and people share this place. Inspiration and new ideas seem to be everywhere in the midst of sounds of crashing waves and the cries of sea birds.
Why you might want to try cold water immersion in February

An additional benefit of cold water immersion is what you may find on the edge of the sea. Sea glass and sand dollars proliferate where I leap in and the beach traffic this time of year is minimal.
