Alex’s Story: Why work on Ice Swimming and cold immersion?
My experience with practicing cold immersion daily began recently as I searched for a solution to anxiety, depression, and chronic pain.
As I set off on a journey to find out what the hype was about, I found that there was something about starting a cold therapy practice that was rewarding.
From day one, something changed. Fatigue, fog, and anxiety began to fade. New ideas and energy arrived in my world even as day to day challenges continued and sometimes grew.
I am interested in learning more about this. Why does something apparently so simple like cold immersion have such an impact? How can it get even better?
I realized what you likely already know and which may seem obvious: Cold water can be found nearly everywhere. It is usually easy and often free to wade, jump, dive or ease yourself into water cold enough to have an impact even in warm places and seasons.
